Panasonic HDC-SD60K – Great Entry-Level HD Camcorder

Being able to record in High Definition or HD is quickly becoming a standard feature for most camcorders. However, many of these smaller HD camcorders often lack certain features which make the whole process of taking a HD video all that much easier. This includes features like direct and easy to use controls since many camcorders still rely on a mostly menu driven interface and controls near the LCD screen to capture and adjust video recording on the fly. The Panasonic HDC-SD60K and its other siblings are trying to solve along with features like manual controls for shutter speed and iris control along with intelligently smart auto focus which doesn’t take forever to get the job done.

In terms of looks the Panasonic HDC-SD60K follows the same small hand held design as other HD digital camcorders in the same class panasonic 1.5 ton ac 3 star
. The camera is the lightest in its range since it doesn’t include any internal memory. Controls are simple and easily within range of your fingertips but the camcorder also has a flip-open touch-screen LCD display. Like other HD camcorders it uses SDXC flash memory but unlike other camcorders in this price range, it includes and LED light for those night-time and low-light situations.

Performance-wise the Panasonic HDC-SD60K is surprisingly feature-filled despite being the entry-level model in the new range. Video is very good with smart features like an intelligent auto focus, face recognition and better image stabilization. The camcorders powerful 25x optical zoom still requires a tripod or an extremely steady hand but it does mean that you can get good videos from very far away. Video quality is a bit soft though but still images are just fine The controls are direct with simple to reach buttons for zoom and recording while the shutter speed and iris control are also easy to adjust. Still images are good but going higher than standard resolutions result in similar soft images.

Panasonic has always held its own ground amongst the elite of the electronics world. Their newly developed Panasonic ES8243A electric shaver holds up to that same standard. Men across the world are achieving a closer and quicker shave than previously achieved. In easy terms, what they have done is take the standard 30 degree blade and use new nanotechnology to achieve a closer cutting angle. Between the improved blading and included features, the Panasonic ES8243A provides a more unique shave than other razors.

One of the things that has been done – is that the cutting area has been expanded by as much as 32% which helps to give a more precise shave and alleviate skin irritations. In addition they have included a fourth blade which provides the capability to conqueror the thickest of beards with ease and quickness. And lastly the Panasonic ES8243A has arc shaped blades to hug the skin which allows the user to experience the closer shave.

Now let’s move on to the feature that gives this shaver its uniqueness, the linear motor. Most razors operate somewhere between 8,000 and 10,000 rpm’s. But with this motor users can experience a 3,000 to 5,000 rpm increase over the standard razors because the ES8243A operates at 13,000 rpm with the Dry feature.

However, if you are in the shower and want to “kill two birds with one stone” then you can also use this shaver with its wet technology providing 17,000 rpm. Simply place the razor under the water and select turbo and boom you have gone from zero to sixty in a few seconds. What can be better than that?
